What’s On Squamish

When the site first started out, it was called “What’s On Squamish”. It was the original Squamish Events Guide. The site was started by Goodwin Studios.  At that time the Squamish event’s scene was very new. The Brew Pub, The Chieftain, The Ocean Port and the Shady Tree were the main venues in town.  What’s On Sea to Sky owner, Craig Davidiuk, recalls being one of three DJ’s who resided in Squamish.

The Test of Metal mountain bike race was the main social event….I mean mountain bike race in Squamish. Since then the race has ceased leaving three other subsidiary races in its wake. The Gearjammer, JABR, and Loonar Enduro. When this website started, the mountain bike trails in Squamish were not marked with signage. Or mapped. LOL! A lot has changed since we first

What’s On Whistler

As the site grew it was necessary to start a second site to cover Whistler’s event scene.

In Whistler you have such a massive selection of activities to choose from:

  • Whistler Nightclub Listings
  • Whistler Events Guide
  • Whistler Hotel Reviews
  • Things To Do In Whistler: zip lining, hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, road biking.
  • Whistler Bike Park
  • Whistler Blackcomb Snow Report
  • Heli Skiing
  • Whistler Restaurant Reviews

What’s On Pemberton

Yes, there was even a third What’s On website for Pemby. Founder Jude Goodwin consolidated all the URl’s a decade ago. Back in the day, the biggest events in Pemberton were Winterfest and the 2 Acre Shaker! There is not an old school S2S resident who hasn’t had a fine time at one or both of those events. The main events these days in Pemberton happen at the Pemberton Hotel, the Pemberton Recreation Centre and at during the summer at the Pemberton Music Festival.  The Slow Food Ride  and Pemberton Winterfest are also a fixture on the social calendar! And recently Ironman Canada has staged an event there every year.
